The fit of the earbuds.
The first number of the IP rating refers to protection against dust, while the second number refers to protection against liquid. E.g. a first number of 6 denotes that it is completely dustproof, and a second number of 7 denotes that the device can withstand full immersion in water.

The only reason I was even in the market for headphones in this price range is because I lost the case to the LG Tone FP9s that I had, and I have to say... it turned out to be quite the unexpected blessing: Previously, my main and only real complaint (for the FP9s) was that the case lid felt kind of flimsy/weak/cheap. Even though I've dropped them tons of times and they were fine, they didn't have that "quality feel". For these T90(Q)s they managed to rectify that. Even the T90 buds themselves actually feel as if they have a more premium feel over the FP9s. Also the sound quality seems as if it was maybe tweaked to make it a little better as well. My only complaints now are 1) They didn't have them in the gold that I had my FP9s in, which doesn't matter all that much because these white T90s have a fresh, clean, sleeker look. Although it DOES make me wonder if people think these are knockoff Air Pods or something. 2) The old FP9s don't charge in the T90 case, even though they seemingly fit perfectly at first glance. However when you look closer, they actually prevent the case from closing all the way. It was kind of wishful thinking to have that option for an alternate pair of buds just to have on deck I guess. Overall, everything I loved about the FP9s still all there, plus some minor upgrades. For the price range, they're definitely a buy in my opinion.
